Adobe Flash could cause security risk in WoW

Published by sallen77 at 10:45 am under news, world of warcraft Edit This

Blizzard has announced that a vulnerability has been found in Adobe Flash that could potentially be used to target World of Warcraft players and accounts.

The newest version of Adobe Flash (9.0.124.0), does not contain the vulnerability, and Blizzard is recommending that all players upgrade to this newest edition.

In a reaction to this news, Blizz temporarily disabled the ability to post hyperlinks in their forums. For now, forum posters can provide the link, but those interested in following them will have to copy and past it into their Internet browser. The company announced it will continue to evaluate potential security threats and take steps necessary to ensure a safe gaming environment for their clients.

In the meantime, it is always a good idea to change your password on a semi-regular basis, after doing a computer virus scan that is.

Safe gaming!
